nAbleMD App Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 1, 2014
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") applies to nAbleMD Application ("App") for smartphones and tablets, owned and operated by Nth Technologies, Inc. ("Nth" or the "Company"). We are committed to treating your information with respect and sensitivity. We post the Policy's effective date at the top of the Policy. We may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time; if we do we will post the revised Policy with a revised effective date. We encourage you to check the "More" page frequently to see the current Policy and Terms of Use in effect.
The nAbleMD App is provided to physicians and their patients to record data, make data available for sharing between a physician and the patient, and to provide a secure communication between the doctor and patients to manage their medical records, prescriptions, appointments and other healthcare related matters from their mobile phones or tablets. . Use of the App does not create a patient relationship and is not intended to provide health or medical advice or replace consultation between the physician and the patient.
Information You Provide Us
When you download the App you may be required to register by providing your name, address, phone number and email address. You are given the option to provide us additional information through your use of the App such as your personal health information, patient or physician contact information, and insurance information.]. ("Personally Identifiable Information" or "PII"). By providing your PII to us, you explicitly agree to our collection and use of such information as described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not disclose your PII to third parties for their use in marketing and do not use your PII to contact you except as provided in this Privacy Statement or the EULA.
Protecting Children's Privacy
This App is not designed or intended to be attractive to use by children under the age of 18 ("Minors"). We do not knowingly collect PII from Minors. If you are under the age of 18, please do not submit any information to us.
Cookies and Automatically Collected Data
When you download and use the App we automatically collect and retain certain technical data such as your device ID number, system and application software and information about how you are interacting with the App. We use this technical data to administer our services, provide technical networking support, monitor and improve our products and services.
We may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to personalize our App for you and to collect aggregate information about App usage by all of our users. A cookie is a text file that identifies your smartphone for record-keeping purposes and to enhance the quality of your use of the App and to recognize you when you return to the App. We may use cookies or similar technologies that collect a user's IP address, mobile device identification, the type of device or operating system in use (e.g., iOS or Adroid), the type of browser being used, the number and frequency of uses of our App, and similar technical information that does not identify the user personally.
Do-Not-Track
We currently do not employ technology that recognizes "do-not-track" signals from your browser and we do not permit third parties to collect information about our users' online activities over time and across different websites.
Use of Information
We may use your information for our general commercial purposes according to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use/EULA in effect at the time of use. We sometimes use aggregated data (without personal identifiers) for research and commercial purposes. This information includes what services they access most often. This information helps us improve the App so it is more useful and accessible to you.
We use the information we collect primarily to provide better service to our App users, to comply with our legal obligations, to operate and grow our business, to improve and customize the content you see, and to provide the products or services you request.
We may use your email address to contact you to respond to your inquiries, such as requests for resetting passwords, or to provide information on products or services to you. You can tell us to stop sending you non-transactional emails either by "unsubscribing" to an email you receive or by contacting us as indicated below. As part of the functionality of our App you may use your email address through the App to contact others.
Disclosing Information to Third Parties
We reveal PII about you to unaffiliated third parties if: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction for you; (3) the information is provided to comply with the law, applicable regulations, governmental requests, court orders or subpoenas, to enforce our Terms of Use or other agreements, or to protect our rights, property or safety or the rights, property or safety of our users or others (e.g., to a consumer reporting agency for fraud protection etc.); (4) the disclosure is done as part of a purchase, transfer or sale of services or assets; (5) the information is provided to our agents, outside vendors or service providers to perform functions on our behalf; or (6) to others as described in this Policy. We may also disclose aggregated (but not personally identifiable) information to third parties for promotional or other purposes.
Access, Opt-Out, and Security
To review your PII, make any changes or corrections or to set up or change your preference on receiving communications from us, please contact support@nthtechnology.com. We will try to complete your request as promptly as possible. Any changes will affect only future uses of your PII. If you do not wish to receive non-transactional communications from us in the future, you can also "opt out" by following the directions in any email you receive from us.
We take steps to protect your information and have measures in place in our physical facilities and in our computer systems, databases, and communications networks that are designed reasonably to protect information contained within our systems from loss, misuse or alteration. We are not responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any information that you store in the App. You have a role in the security of your information and you are responsible to make sure that your log in information is kept from other people. If your phone is lost or stolen you can change your password by contacting support@nthtechnology.com. Any transactions using your log in information will be deemed to be authorized by you unless you notify us otherwise.
Security
The nAbleMD Application employs 128-bit encryption technology to transmit and upload any of the PII to and through the Application. Data is stored on the server using the industry-standard AES 256 protocol. The Application utilizes industry-standard firewalls and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) transport to encrypt any electronic transfer of PII.
